TEHRAN (FNA)- Tehran and Moscow are experiencing excellent relations and Russia is eager to further expand ties with Iran, Russian Ambassador to Tehran Alexander Sadovnikov said.
Sadovnikov also reiterated that the Russian statesmen are willing to bolster relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the new Iranian year.
Describing Tehran-Moscow relations as "excellent", he told the Islamic republic news agency that Moscow is willing to broaden and deepen relations with the government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as well as other Iranian governments in the future.
Referring to the landmark celebration of Norouz in Tehran by leaders of Persian-speaking nations, he said that marking the ceremony at such international level was groundbreaking and that it was for the first time he took part in Norouz ceremony during his 20-year stay in Tehran.
"I was pleased to be invited to the celebration and mark the event along with the Iranian nation and wishing them all a promising new year," he said.
He wished for a world free from war, conflict and violence but full of earnestness and friendship.
