take another entire article.

i.e. it's a pack of malevolent bullshit, no reflection on the poster intended.

2. The short answer is NO.

I have lived here all (STL) my life and watched the area steadily go downhill. There is simply too much balkanization in the County. The City & County are separate entities & a complete lack of vision (even a bad one) permeates the area. We have lost corporate HQ's one after another over the years with no new ones finding a need to locate here. Money is tossed at such projects as Stadiums, while the schools, roads, bridges and other infrastructure crumbles. St. Louis has a great central location as a transportation hub, yet do we see it being utilized? We built a great new expanded runway at the airport only to see it relegated to a second class airport which is now closing 2 of it's four concourses.

Too bad because the area does have a lot to offer, but the leaders simply do not see the whole board.
