Ok the tea baggers are crying they arent being taken seriously... they argue when the Left was protesting, protesting was patriotic.
somehow their protests arent patriotic???
Well I have to agree protesting IS patrotic. the difference is... well... our numbers were far greater. but more seriously.
We on the left were teargassed by the establishment! beaten with batons! Firehoses were unleashed on us! dogs were sicked upon us! then bleeding and bruised we were arrested!
I guess after doing my share of protesting over the years...
I simply cant take the tea baggers seriously until they themselves have at least been teargassed, beaten and arrested. (save the dogs)
ok end Rant.

4. I have no problem with them protesting and still consider it to be patriotic (theoretically) |
|
The problem I have with them is that they are so full of crap. Is it so wrong to wish they could at least stick to reality instead of racism and ignorance?
As to your point, I'd love to see this experience give them a hint of what it's like, but it won't.

5. Yeah that "Opressive Government" |
|
thing... I had thought about it too. brutializing them as we were, would play into their argument of Oppressive government. As it did with us.
but really until they feel the sting of a baton or experience teargas with the cop handcuffing you. they really have no argument of what it really feels like to be "oppressed".

And the ones complaining about the government take over were recently rooting for the government against us. I was called all sorts of nasty things, and even have had things thrown at me and my friends (including the full can of beer which hit my friend's head at an anti-war march) by the exact same people who now are complaining about fascism.
I do agree that we should not make martyrs of them, but that if they went through what they put us through they'd be in tears.
