Tea Party Film Festival Looking for Conservative Movie Makers to Compete for Cash Prizes

Tea Party Nation is pleased to present the First TPN Conservative Film Festival at the Tea Party Unity Convention July 15-17, 2010 The Palazzo Las Vegas Resort – Las Vegas!

Conservative Filmmakers are encouraged to enter their Feature Length and Short Films, as well as Music Videos by June 11, 2010.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Feature films, short films, and music videos where there is a conservative message and/or presents Traditional American values.
Films previously shown at other events or festivals are permitted to enter the festival.
Music videos must have a running time of less than 10 minutes.
For submission purposes, DVD format is required.
Filmmakers must deliver final format (as indicated) for Festival screenings. No exceptions will be permitted.

FESTIVAL PRIZES
Awards will be given for best feature length film, best short film and best music video. Judges to be announced prior to the Festival.

Audience Awards, which are chosen based on ballots submitted by Festival audiences and are presented in the following categories: Feature Length Film, Short Film, Best Music Video, High School/Youth Award

First Place: $2,500
Second Place: $1000
Third Place: $500

Short Film:
First Place: $1000
Second Place: $500
Third Place: $250

Music Video:
First Place: $250
Second Place: $100
Third Place: $50

High School/Youth: $250

2. The Long Walk

The year is 2023. Liberal political correctness has banned all conservativism and Christianity. One small hold out community in the alabama backcountry continues to hold to traditional American values, but the government moves in leaving only two survivors - Virginia O'Grady and Rush Nabors. The two have to make their way across benighted America, bearing only that most sacred of documents, the United States Constitution, banned by evil liberals.

That does sound a lot like the plot to Book of Eli now that i think of it.

A couple accidentally shoots their toddler while engaging in hot, steamy target practice at a militia camp deep in the forest. "She" is wracked with guilt for feeling grief over the loss of the child when in fact she should be damn proud of the clean shot that bagged the kid--right through the heart. "He" takes it upon himself to take her out of the church-militia movement and personally exorcise the grief demon from her soul. Along the way, an animatronic warthog tells him "Social justice reigns."
