Dozens Of Cars Towed At Glenn Beck Event

Dozens of motorists who arrived at the University of Central Florida to attend a speech by controversial TV host Glenn Beck were shocked to find their cars had been towed from the lot they had been directed to park in, WFTV-TV in Orlando reported Tuesday.

At least 50 cars were towed from the Kappa Sigma fraternity lot. Signs that had directed drivers toward "free parking" had also disappeared once Saturday's event concluded.

One of the victims told WFTV he thought he had been set up, but did not know if it was because of dislike for the conservative Fox News host or if it was motivated by money.

“Maybe they have a deal with the tow truck company, or maybe they got kickbacks under the table,” Mike Vedder told WFTV.

Beck is a host on Fox News Channel, owned by News Corp., which also owns NewsCore.

I wouldn't be surprised if another fraternity put up the "free parking" signs as a prank and Delta Sigma towed the cars without even knowing. One way or another, it's hillarious.

The Frat house in question has their own private parking, and had an event of their own the same day.

In fact there were several security folk on site for them who have been quoted elsewhere as warning these people that they would be towed if they stayed there, and the people said "event parking!!11!!" and left their cars there anyways.

The Fraternity then found themselves with no parking for themselves or their guests for their own event in their own parking lot (which, by the way, has several "no parking violators will be towed" signs up in and around the lot).

So the idiots got towed.

This isn't about politics, except that it's about the politics of self-important douchebags, thinking the rules don't apply to them, finding out that they do.
