How Are American Police Officers Reacting to Terrorist Militia Threats?

Cops are a conservative bunch but this has to be scary for them too.

yes I KNOW people in law enforcement.

And yes IT IS a matter of ahem concern for many rank and file, as well as commanding officers.

Of course you do have a few (like any other profession) that agree with these idiots.

the go after a nutcase that threatens a republican while the same nutcase was not arrested when he threatened the president, the speaker of the house and the leader of the senate..all three democrats.

not necessarily. and you know that.

HOW or WHO the cops go after usually has a component people 'round these parts forget. I wonder if on purpose. That is the District Attorney, or in this case the Federal DA.

If the DA refuses to file charges, it ain't gonna matter how many times you present a case.

Of course there are these things called I don't know, rules of evidence.

There is that, but hell... I am sure most people round these parts don't understand this.

This is not to say that some agents are not right wing assholes... they are. But to paint ALL with that broad brush is the height of ignorance.

Once you bust through the thin ice of political gamesmanship and see that Militia folks are

out for the blood of government employees, AND THEIR MOURNERS at the funerals, it gets clear.

8. For internal policy reasons

departments will not go there. It involves getting "involved in politics."

Now internal briefs must be getting rather interesting...

But then, I think police forces don't like to discuss direct threats against them.

Wouldn't be prudent.

10. I was thinking yesterday that the police in the Seattle/Tacoma

area probably aren't too happy about what's going on now, since we lost 5 in the space of a week last November, all to gun violence.
