Not "Convicted murderer", not "Killer of man at church", but merely "Anti-abortion activist".

Every anti-abortion organization has publicly distanced themselves from him. If he's not a member of any anti-abortion group, how can they say he was an "activist"? (Unless, of course, he was a member, and they just lied...)

I kind of wish they'd just left off the "lawyer says" part though.

The problems I have are:

(1) He is not a just a foe, he is a murderer (as you pointed out).
(2) He did not lash out and get jail time for it, as the headline mistakenly implied. He got jail time for the murder, which apparently CNN likes to omit from these headlines.

Yeah, I don't know what has gotten into CNN. It's ridiculous. Those headlines aren't just accidental, they are deliberately misleading. Call it what it is.
