Florida governor Charlie Crist has requested a federal investigation into the Republican Party of Florida as accusations of mismanagement and under-the-table deals continue to mount.

Crist's call for federal authorities to take over the probe followed a similar request from Florida Chief Financial officer Alex Sink, who also sent a request for intervention to the state attorney general Friday.

3. This stuff needs to be investigated in detail
the results then need to be made public, and then turned into an ad campaign. They are up there apparently literally wallowing in tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars of donor's cash while destroying the budget and proposing to cut the pensions of teachers, firefighters, and policemen.

This is great material for an ad campaign. Given past performance I have to wonder if the FL Democratic Party will have the smarts and spine to use it. I hope so, because this is the election, literally control of state government, delivered on a silver platter. The question is whether they are truly sick enough of being an ignored minority to do something about it.
