its called Books, Internet news sites, various radio programs, Link TV, Democracy Now, be selective, its the only to escape the spin.
Democracy now is on many radio stations, and the Host. Al Frankens books are humor but packed with facts. If you like I would be glad to recommend. There is no real news on MSM.

2. I choose radio but thereis an add on - the news sections of even music stations

are badly, badly skewed. The little 5 minute segments even on the progressive stations are often right wing, since that is usually contracted to something like AP. So anytime some listens to the radio they get a dose of right wing unbalance.

11. How About Internet Radio???

I spend more and more time listening to BBC, Pacifica, Democracy Now and other Progressive and Public stations that provide information and opinions you won't hear anywhere else.

As to your question...the AM dial is so fetid these days if I'm not cruising to some nice tunes on the CD player, I'm enjoying the silence. Teevee offers nice pictures, little substance...the internet is driving the news these days, you get quicker and more reliable information on DU's LBN than you do anywhere else.

12. Opinion is not news...

Both are about equally effective at opinion, and by opinion I mean that opinions are like assholes, everybody has one.

News requires a high content of information with a low amount of spin filters. There is no news program on TV that even attempts to give unfiltered news. They provide information that will draw an attractive demographic audience to partake of their commercials.
