The whole crew of Star Trek: First Contact have iPads.
In the movie, not in real life.

Amazing.

Considering how many other devices we've created, probably due to their appearance on some Star Trek show, after the fact, it is no surprise that they did it with the iPad.

1. cellphones (communicators)
doors that open when you walk up to them, teleportation (so far only of atoms), cloaking devices, Ion Drive, the concepts of electromagnetic shielding and warp drive (the former more likely to become reality than the latter by far), our computers are actually better than what was envisioned for most the Star Trek run at least as far as memory capacity and processing power (check out what passed for computers in the original star trek series), even the idea of matter-antimatter propulsion is something that we at least are looking into.

13. blame them damned frenchies.
Socialist, anti-god feerin, communistical Obama lovers.

To make things worse, CERN (France) IS making anti-matter, but nothing like the quantities in Angels and Demons. We were going to do that at our own SCSC, until we realized that we would be insulting god by using big magnets to find his shadow. THE GOOD BOOK HOLDS. . . . . sorry. Got out of control there. Anyway Fermi Lab is also violating God's will, and also created what they think was anti-matter, or at least, they created the blueprint, a protocol to create and capture it. In fact, the problem in storing it (the stuff that CERN already created, has been based on slowing down the antiparticle enough to capture it. The idea of building an anti-accellerator for anti-particles IS INSULTING TO GOD AND HIS 6,000 YEAR OLD WOR. . . . damn. see what too much easter does to you? But, yes, we do have antimatter, and that stuff is really potent.
