3. My daughter in the SFV (Reseda) called me ...
and said she felt an earthquake and I looked online. Can't believe she felt it all the way from Baja.

9. From the map, looks to me like Mexicali is going to hardest hit
That looks like the closest most populated area, second is Yuma.

8. I'm nextdoor in Reseda and it was at LEAST 30 seconds of very strong rolling,
which meant it was both big and far.

I've been here since last September, and the only quake we've had -- a measly 4.1 -- happened while I was up in Sac (not quake country) for a meeting!

Edit: Mom, a confirmed East Coaster, freaked out when she heard about the 4.1 on CNN! :rofl:

I lived in SoCal in 1986-1992 and then again in 2001-2007. Felt the Whittier quake and that was the strongest one for me. Hope everyone is okay.

I saw I-beams move like rubber bands :scared: Kind of trippy thinking back on it now. Wow, that must have been cool seeing the earth wave like that.

28. 6.9 in Baja Mexico..felt in Studio City just reported on CNN..the Northridge Earthquake was 6.9
Someone just called into CNN a TV Reporter from Studio City and he said he was in a restaurant and the candeliers were shaking for 5 minutes..I Lived in Studio City and lost my home in the Northridge quake ...

My son and daughter in law..and grandcild live in LA ..so I get real nervous with this..I have never gotten over losing our home and going through the Northridge quake..it took a serious toll on me and my family.

Imperial,CA just had a 5.1 aftershock.

Stay safe out there please!!
