A repub RNC money-raiser called me tonight.

Definitely at the wrong time too. We used to be registered republican.

She caught me just as I was in the middle of lecturing my daughter for not working on her homework, or doing the few chores I had for her today. I told the lady that we "used to be republicans, but no more. We're now Democrats. Take us off your list. Republicans suck. Have a nice day."

Like I said, she caught me at the wrong time. Very stressful day and no time to unwind before I had to jump right in and start doing stuff at home. It's been like that for the past 2 wks, and work days are getting longer with sometimes shortened or sometimes no lunch break. I guess she helped me 'de-stress' tonight.

1. i never get calls from repubs. i've always been a registered

democrat, but a few weeks ago i got something in the mail from the RNC. it was a questionnaire. the first question was "do you agree with obama raising taxes"? i was so angry. i sent a little note saying "i don't know how you got my name. i will not answer your anti-obama survey and i would cut my finger off before i would vote for a republican". now i know it didn't get to michael steele, but some clerk had to see it.

we have a local gentleman who was president of the homeowner's association. he did a lot of work on behalf of the neighborhood. every night he sat outside the grocery store getting petitions signed. well a few weeks ago he sent out an e-mail. he's running for a local office and is looking for support. i wrote back to him telling him what a great job he did as president of the homeowners. i told him that at one time i may have been able to ignore the fact that he was a republican, but with the way things are today, i can't.

it's hard to support them even if they seem to be well intentioned.

of all, that's where they learn about bribery and pay-offs. Everyone of the ones in my city government are corrupt, taking bribes from developers etc. not a one them is worth a darn. :mad:

11. When we had subscriptions to "Business Week" and "Fortune", we used to get Republican solicitations

all the time. Every year, sure as clockwork, we'd get our pretty little
"Member, Republican Party" card and its associated "now send money"
mailer. I might still have one of those cards tucked away in a drawer...

10. I am VERY aggressive with fundraising Republi-craps.

I always include the pharse "REPUBLICAN BASTARDS" in whatever else comes to mind. My reason is that I want to demoralize every active fundraising republi-turd that I can. In other words, if I make phone banking an unpleasant experience for one of them, then maybe there will be one fewer doing it.

13. I got one of those a calls a couple weeks ago.

NRCC, I believe. I had to sit through a pre-recorded message of Boner raging about Pelosi and Obama. When I finally got a real live person on the other end, I told him that I thought President Obama was doing a terrific job and that I want the Republicans to stop the obstruction. He just laughed a little bit and said that he would pass that on at the next meeting. I knew he was BSing me, but I said "Thank you, thank you very much."
