Palin criticizes Obama's major nuclear pact with Russia. George Stephanopoulos asks Obama to comment and Obama responds that Palin isn't an expert on nuclear matters. Palin fires back that
Obama is the one who isn't qualified on nuclear issues.
All the newspapers report on this exchange and that's fine. It's perfectly newsworthy. But obviously they left something out. These two prominent politicians are questioning each other's qualifications. How about doing some reporting now? How about comparing their qualifications? Obama has been talking about nuclear proliferation since his primary campaign for IL senator. It was the first thing he took up when he became a senator, and he led on the passage of major legislation, arguably the defining legislation of his short senate career.
How about a SINGLE MENTION of this legislation, from ANY newspaper? How about a simple link to Lugar's press release, like Wonkette did?
I guess not. I guess they figure that would be unfair to Palin.
