What the President's reply to Quitter's nook-u-lar gripe should have been

He elevated her (again) by responding that she "was not an expert," turning it into a schoolyard fight between equals. He's been elevating LIMBOsevic and others the same way. Doncherknow they love it to hear their names from the voice of the President.


What he should have said: As an American she has a right to an opinion on all manner of things, along with 305 million other Americans. But I'll get back to you with the exact number as soon as the census figures come in.

Or,

If you ask 305 million Americans' opinion on a topic, you will get 305 million opinions.


I hope that there will be wittier than mine posted here and that the President's advisers see them.
