and the irs.gov website is way less than helpful too. Anyone know where we send the check? I've been on hold for over an hour with the irs phone line... All I need is the address to mail a check to the Feds. Why did the H&R Block s/w package NOT include that?

Really annoying - we thought e-filing was supposed to be easier - and it was fine except now we need to know where to send the freaking check!

arghhhh...

3. Why e-file
when you owe the Feds money? H&R Blockhead could have easily provided you with a printed form to send in.

12. Because you can e-pay too?
And even if you file extra early you can schedule the payment for the date it is due. That's what I always do. IRS doesn't get one extra cent from me until the day it's due.

15. Same here
and I make them work for it by having to process a printed return, the more money they spend on processing, the less they have for auditing.

6. If the papers have your name and SSAN
the IRS will take your money and credit your account. If you owe more, they will tell you. If you paid too much, they will send you a check.
Not a problem. You've got until April 15th to mail the check. I always hated sending them a check. I haven't had to do that in a long time.
