Well, it may not seem like a grand tour, but local media and the Associated Press is reporting that President Obama is tentatively scheduling a visit to Missouri, Iowa, and Illinois next Tuesday and Wednesday. The Ottumwa, Iowa newspaper has a tentative schedule for the visit, but media in Quincy, Hannibal and Fort Madison are reporting that he may visit those places as well. . .
"OTTUMWA, IOWA (AP) -- KTVO has learned the tentative schedule for President Obama's swing through the Heartland planned for next week.
The President is scheduled to land in Quincy, Illinois at roughly 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday April 27.
He will then travel to Fort Madison, Iowa, Mt. Pleasant and Ottumwa.
He is expected to arrive in Ottumwa at about 4:45 and hold a town hall event or rally. No location or format has been set at this time.
The President will spend Tuesday night in Des Moines.
On Wednesday April 28, the President will return to Quincy and then travel to Macon Missouri for an event, before ending his day back in Quincy."
