Whenever I see the word "Clinton" in a forum header
I immediately think of the "Big Dawg," not Hillary.

To how many people does this happen as well?

Is that evidence that something is wrong with me?

:yoiks:

2. Same thing here.
Bill is 'Clinton'. Hilliary was the first lady, now Senator Clinton and should be identified as such to avoid confusion.

I don't have anything against a woman president, but Hilliary ain't the one. At least not while the terrorist are still in our mists.

4. the terrorists
will always be in our "mists". What does that have to do with anything?

Terrorists in our mists actually conjures up an image that correlates perfectly with the current administration's take on things.

13. Yes, I think that's the right word.
I was just being a smartass earlier with the "Guerillas in the mist" thing...sorry for any confusion that may have caused. :)

3. Yes, "Senator" Clinton
always brings her to mind, for obvious reasons.

But the journalistic practice to ID people by last name only in headlines and on second reference always makes me think of him when I see the name "Clinton."

Perhaps that's a bit of wistfulness of happier days.

5. there's nothing wrong with you
The Big Dawg has a special place in many hearts. When I hear Clinton, I think of him, too.

As an aside, up to now, the MSM has fairly consistently referred to Senator Clinton as "Hillary," "Hillary Clinton," or "Senator Clinton." They've rarely used just the last name. So odds are that unless her first name or title was mentioned, they did mean him and immediately thinking of him was logical and economical of thought.

7. It's usually in thread headers here or in newspaper headlines
where they say "Clinton this" or "Clinton that."

I just can't help immediately thinking of him.

And, as an aside, I wonder if Hillary knows that people do that and whether that's a raspberry seed in her wisdom tooth (i.e. people not thinking immediately of her in her own right) or whether she's happy to have that connection.

Yes, I know, those ideas aren't mutually exclusive, but you know what I mean.

10. It is rather early, yes.
I hope I don't get sick of her by the time it's through.

I remember that Bill announced his run in October of 1991, less than thirteen months before the general election and only four months before the NH primary.

Hillary's announced, what, more than a year before the first primary? (OK, so have a bunch of others.)

I'm not sure I like this permanent campaign season.

16. It's all thanks to that lame dick with a Napolean complex waging war all over the damn place!
The backlash wave is cresting too early, and I wonder who'll be able to ride it long enough without us getting sick of em?
