I only gave it a cursory read, but it looks like one provision of it makes an alien a "trespasser" and subject to arrest if he is on any public or private property and is in the U.S. illegally.

It also seems to have provisions requiring the Arizona attorney general to investigate anonymous complaints regarding the presence of illegals generally in the State or working for an employer. The penalty for filing a frivolous complaint is a class 3 misdemeanor (maximum sentence 30 days and/or a $500 fine)

Lots of penalties, including car impoundments, for persons who knowingly or "recklessly" transport illegals too.

Lots of chilling stuff here. I'm going to give it a closer read when I have some more time.

6. Typical rethug thinking- give the employers a free ride

I've always thought that if they really wanted to cut illegal immigration, cut the demand first. Put in hard time for anyone hiring undocumented workers, or shown to have gotten them forged documents.

read the document before you post. It states on page six that and employer will be fined a thousand dollars for each illegal they have working for them.
How is that giving the employer a free ride?

Yeah, they will have a section on employers. Bet you that they spend 10x as much effort trying to prosecute "frivolous" claims.

9. Arizona seems to believe Arizona can over-rule the Feds in interpretation of Federal law:

There are multiple instances of language such as the following:

On determining whether an employee is an unauthorized alien, the court shall consider only the federal government's determination pursuant to 8 United States Code section 1373(c). The federal government's determination creates a rebuttable presumption of the employee's lawful status. The court may take judicial notice of the federal government's determination and may request the federal government to provide automated or testimonial verification

The translation of course is: I'll pretend I'm following Federal law, but I'll read it the way I want to read it. If the frickin Feds want to read it differently, I may pretend to notice that, but frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn
