What the heck IS a "Decision Point"?

Did that phrase actually exist in the English language before Dubyus Emeritus used it for his book title?

Do we even know if he can spell the word "Decision"? Or the word "Point?"

I first heard it used in a software context. It was the stuff of flow charts.

But any "fork in the road" becomes a decision point. It's just a place where you can't hedge your bets anymore and keep your options open. Gotta make a choice in order to move forward.
