To all DU supporters of safe access to medical cannabis in Tennessee (and everywhere else):
The decision yesterday by the Tennessee House Health and Human Resources committee to reverse its position of last week and vote overwhelmingly to support a detailed study on re-establishing a medical cannabis program in Tennessee by a half dozen state agencies caught us all by surprise yesterday. Now those kind of surprises, I could get used to.
Here is some of the early press coverage posted in the past 18 hours or so. We (all DUers who understand and support safe access) need to go on-line and post comments supportive of safe access in Tennessee. The more (intelligent and well-expressed) comments, the merrier.
These links are attracting a lot of "yuck, yuck" comments that belittle this issue. Don't let the knuckle-heads keep dragging safe access into their "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" gutter.
Please take the few minutes to post a sincere pro-medical cannabis comment on these links (particularly the last two). Thanks kindly.

The first link is to the almost hour-long testimony we were allowed to give on our Safe Access bill back on April 13. (The discussion on our bill begins about 8-10 minutes into this video and runs almost an hour.)
The second link is to the story of John Donovan, a young Chattanooga man who suffers from juvenile onset rheumatoid arthritis, who outed himself in a front page article on Saturday and then limped from legislative office to office on Monday signifying for safe access.
The third link is to the breaking story on yesterday's vote.
The last two links are to major blog opportunities to influence the dialog here in Tennessee, right now.
