1. I would be willing to BET that the..................
mildly approve and mildly disapprove in the health care area consists of lefties who are disappointed because the HC overhaul didn't go far enough, i.e., single payer or at least public option.

Overall it seems to be getting better for the Dems. For the lack of a better alternative, I hope this holds through November and can mitigate the mid-term losses the party in power always experiences.

6. Agreed about your comment regarding HC, not being good enough for some lefties.
And 11% disaprrove for the President only somewhat? meaning they can easily tip over to the good side with one or more big wins: FinReg or a climate bill before November.

2. Simply put, we have a splendid president.
He has been in office long enough to have a body of work on which to judge him. He is way ahead of where I expected him to be on the learning curve. His unflappability is an impressive trait that we can plainly see is neither arrogance nor swagger. He is succeeding against a tide of opposition committed to his failure. Imagine what he could accomplish if the opposition party had any integrity at all.

3. I agree with the unflappability ....................
That's one of his BIG strengths IMO. I just wish he could OCCASIONALLY pull off a populist rant and show some righteous anger. That would make his normal demeanor even more effective.

8. How do you equate Obama's blessing of Bush's crimes to "splendid"?

4. What's interesting is how few of the disapprovers only "somewhat" disapprove
Now why do you think that is?

9. I noticed that too, see # 6.
That's actually more very good news, we can win them back (or half of them) easily.
