That's one busy chart! I'll need a few minutes to absorb that information. :silly:

4. It's mostly because the PP slide was made to look complicated.
The European theater in WW2 required no less complication than the current military operations, however they gave rise to the serious study of logistical design and systems analysis, including the use of Forster diagrams. Seriously multiplexed entities can and typically are shown in much greater clarity than that diagram.

BUT that said...if the US Military is using idiots to generate logisitical diagrams then their understanding is being undermined by their own DOD employees.

5. Almost peed myself when read the original article in the Times yesterday...
the Army is addicted to Powerpoint and every commander out there hates it, but reads every chart they get every day. They all say one or two pages of text will tell them more than any Powerpoint slide will, but for some reason the Generals are powerless to stop it.

Bullet lists are the funniest-- full of stuff like "Reorder logistics of dry cleaning supplies" but never explain how to do it, who will do it, or why it should be done at all.
