Poll question: Are you at the present time planning to vote in November?
Edited on Thu May-13-10 06:54 PM by Dr Morbius
There have been many predictions about how dire the upcoming elections will be for Democrats. I think the success or failure of our party this November hinges entirely on turnout. Will disaffected Democrats stay home?

This poll is intended for Democrats, only, or at least it's intended to obtain some kind of gauge about how we're going to turn out for Democratic candidates. If you're not a Democrat, but perhaps pretend to be one or are here for other reasons, please skip the poll! Thank you.

32. I sorta thought "yes" covered it.
:)

I rather expected numbers like I see above. After all, most of us here are interested in politics, or we wouldn't be hanging out here. I understand the facebooks are popular. Yet even among us here, clearly some are so disaffected that they will not vote.

Here's a piece of very bad news for every Democrat who is disappointed in our elected representatives: if the GOP makes any gains, the progress in 2011 and 2012 will be less than in 2009 and 2010. Which in turn will make you more disappointed, which again works in favor of the Republicans in 2012.

Every action, or nonaction, has consequences. Always. The reason to vote for Democrats in 2010, even though they suck, is that they're twenty times better than Republicans.

Thanks for voting.

17. Who am I supposed to vote for?
Obama, and anyone who supports his ridiculous new drug policy, believes I'm a criminal.

I refuse to vote for anyone who wants to put me in jail for smoking weed..

22. I even go to the polls just for town budget votes.
I love to vote. For 2008 I had had an accident and wasn't even allowed to sit up in bed but I voted by mail for the first time. It is always a thrill for me.

2) you should be ashamed that you post on a political site yet not vote.
