Paris Hilton petition for a Governor's Pardon
The petition, which had more than 900 signatures by Tuesday morning, urges the California actor-turned-governor to pardon Hilton because she provides "beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives."

"If the late former President Gerald Ford could find it in his heart to pardon the late former President
Richard Nixon after his mistake(s), we undeniably support Paris Hilton being pardoned for her honest mistake as well, and we hope and expect the governor will understand and grant this unusual but important request in good faith to Ms. Paris Whitney Hilton," the petition says.

Not surprising but Arnold may consider it as a possibility down the road

The governor's office hasn't reviewed the petition but has received individual e-mails from constituents both for and against a gubernatorial pardon, Schwarzenegger spokesman Aaron McLear said Tuesday. "We'll treat this as we would any other case of this nature, but it would be premature for the governor to get involved until the individual has exhausted his or her judicial remedies," McLear said.

4. This line
she provides "beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives."
is enough to make me:puke: :nopity: :nopity:
She's not that beautiful(at least not in my eyes) and mostly she evokes disgust in me instead of excitement.

5. Not just no but HELL NO!
That little piece of trailer park trash provides absolutely nada to our society, including beauty and/or excitement. She is simply another spoiled rich brat who thinks that the rules simply don't apply to her or her tax bracket. It is past time that we started showing these people otherwise.

10. I take offense at the term "trailer park trash."
I live in a mobile home park and I can assure you that the majority of residents in the park are not foul-mouthed, beer-swilling, ignorant rednecks. Please do not look down your nose at those who live in mobile homes.

26. Not only have I lived in a trailer park, but the first home I owned was mobile
And while things may be different where you live, and yes, I realize that each case and each park is different, on the whole the majority of the park population that I've known are indeed foul mouthed, beer swilling ignorant rednecks. Like I said, it could very well be different where you live, but not in my experience. I'm not looking down my nose at these people, I'm just calling 'em like I see 'em:shrug:

46. It's called a stereotype.
You are making a very broad generalization based on your own very limited observations.

Every racist in the world could claim they are "calling 'em like I see 'em."

6. It's so cruel!
Oh the humanity of locking up a hotel heiress. Classifying her as a common person and making her responsible for her actions.

:sarcasm:

The other day it was mentioned that it would be a good thing if there were a draft because everyone would be subject to serving. Right here is an example of how the rich elite would pay their way out.

They can do the crime but someone else will have to do the time.

23. Waste is right.
What in the hell were her parents doing the whole time she was growing up????? She's even worse than the * twins because they went to college. Haven't done shit with that, but at least they went. Here is Paris Hilton, with every advantage: looks, money, some kind of brain and her claim to fame is how many times she's gotten drunk, arrested, engaged, etc. She is a bad miracle.

12. Yeah. My life has no meaning to it without Paris Hilton.
I really don't have any value in my life, outside of the good feeling I get knowing Paris Hilton is alive. I'm letting her down by writing this post, because I should instead be using my time to ask what I can do to make Paris Hilton's life more luxurious.

I am just stunned that someone had the nerve to write that garbage.

13. In addition to being a spoiled rotten little bitch, Paris Hilton
has risked her life and the lives of others by driving drunk.

And speeding.

At night.

With her lights off.

And those are just the ones we know about because she was caught. How many other times has she done this?

No, lock the skinny little twirp up and give her 45 days to dry out.

She's really not all that pretty, either. She has a pointy nose, thin hair, and the figure of a 13 year old boy.

15. Her looks are only part...

She is a vapid dolt void of any real connection to reality. Because of what is INSIDE Paris I find her to be repulsive to look at. I used to be all shallow, but I like women with something in their heart and in their head. Paris does not qualify.

16. Here is the Full Text of the Petition. It is hilarious in its entirety
To:
The Honorable Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger

Paris Whitney Hilton is an American celebrity and socialite. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton. She provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives.

Hilton is notable for her leading roles on the FOX reality series The Simple Life and in the remake of the Vincent Price horror classic "House of Wax". In addition to her work as an actress, she has achieved some recognition as a model, celebrity spokesperson, singer, and writer.

As most of America now knows, Ms. Hilton was just charged in a Los Angeles court with DUI and sentenced to 45 days in Century Regional Detention Facility in California beginning on or before June 5, 2007.

We, the American public who support Paris, are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that Drunk Driving is wrong. We do not support drunk driving or DUI charges. Paris should have been sober. But she shouldn't go to jail, either.

As depicted on Friday night's episode "Nancy Grace" on Headline News (May 4, 2007), countless celebrities have been "slapped on the wrist" for similar incidents recently. Nick Nolte, Mel Gibson, Tracy Morgan, Wynonna Judd, to name a few, were arrested and never did a day in jail after their initial arrests for drunk driving /DUI /DWI charges. Rappers Busta Rhymes and Eve still walk free after both being arrested for the same charges as Ms. Hilton just this past week. Brandy's California Highway accident, although no proof of DUI was evidenced in her accident, resulting in the death of a young wife and mother in California, yet Brandy walks free as of today, never doing any time and A WOMAN HAS BEEN KILLED most likely due to her reckless driving!

Yet, Paris Hilton did not hurt, injure, or kill anyone or anything, and yet she must do jail time.

This petition is to ask Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon Paris Hilton for her mistake. Please allow her to her return to her career and life. Everyone makes mistakes. She didn't hurt or kill anyone, and she has learned her lesson. She is sincere, apologetic, and full of regret for her actions as she explained tearfully to the Judge handling her case in court yesterday. She is distraught and understandably afraid.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT to save our Paris from ending up at the Century Regional Detention Facility! Please sign to tell The Honorable Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of the State of California, to think about the welfare of this young woman who has made a mortal error and deserves a second chance like so many others in our great nation have been served with after a mistake they have made . If the late Former President Gerald Ford could find it in his heart to pardon the late Former President Richard Nixon after his mistake(s), we undeniably support Paris Hilton being pardoned for her honest mistake as well, and we hope and expect The Governor will understand and grant this unusual but important request in good faith to Ms. Paris Whitney Hilton

It's the flaunting of the law by violating the terms of her probation for another infraction. How many "honest mistakes" does she get anyway?

Dear Judge,
Please put this media sycophant, no talent, none contributor to society, in jail to serve her reduced sentence that if it was anyone else (that doesn't have a trust-fund or wealthy family name or some celebrity) would no doubt get much more time than a piddly 45 days.

You just have to Lick a Cat's BUTT on national tv about 10 times, and I mean S L O W.. and then NO DRIVING for TWO YEARS, and an Alcohol test whenever we feel like it. If you test Positive you go to jail for a YEAR.

Deal?

I thought not :)

I believe that she should bring some beauty and elegance to the Mundane folks of the JAIL SCENE.. She can teach them how to NOT be Mundane and stuff, they'll like that a lot.. probably so much that someone will shove a <<<<< up her >>> in gratitude.

I'm so sick of these WHINING Booze sucking, diamond wearing, cloth horsing, sticks with boobs, slumming all over the planet.
