Which do the republicans really care more about? Sadly, i think they don't give two shits about life at any stage. profit? now that is a different story.

1. Secretly they must be in a quandary
The profits could potentially be staggering. They must be banging their heads against the walls, but they have aligned themselves with the most extreme of the religious right and cannot afford to lose their "base" and their votes.

2. I know a guy working with HESCs that aren't covered by NIH funding.
He won't say who the funding source is, and he immediately told me not to mention it--anonymous mentioning's fine. They're concerned about bad publicity.

He's not in a state where tax money goes for such things. He's funded by private sources.
