Stark. Raving. Mad...

“I would suggest moving back,”

Bush said as he climbed into the cab of a massive D-10 tractor during his visit to a Caterpillar factory today. “I’m about to crank this sucker up.” Newsweek notes, “As the engine roared to life, White House staffers tried to steer the press corps to safety, but when the tractor lurched forward, they too were forced to scramble for safety. ‘Get out of the way!’ a news photographer yelled. ‘I think he might run us over!’ said another. … Even the Secret Service got involved, as one agent began yelling at reporters to get clear of the tractor. Watching the chaos below, Bush looked out the tractor’s window and laughed, steering the massive machine into the spot where most of the press corps had been positioned.”

8. He is a sociopath
as I have long thought.

Antisocial personality disorder (APD) is a personality disorder which is often characterised by antisocial and impulsive behaviour. APD is generally (if controversially) considered to be the same as, or similar to, the disorder that was previously known as psychopathic or sociopathic personality disorder.

11. T'was ever thus
The cocksure dimwit in 1976:
Evans said he'd love to go flying. At the airport he watched Bush stare at the controls, at the panel, and he realized that Bush-though not admitting it-had no idea how to fly the thing properly. After finally figuring out how to launch the plane, Bush pushed the Cessna hard down the runway. Evans screamed, "Give it some gas!" The Cessna's warning system was blinking and crackling. Bush tried to lift his craft fast, almost as if he were piloting a jet back in the Texas Air National Guard. The plane wobbled into the air, and the unsubtle maneuvering threatened to shove it into a stall. Now the rented plane was rattling in the sky over Midland

...

After more seemingly endless moments, he somehow got control of the plane again. He aimed the aircraft down, and the landing was as shaky and brutal as the takeoff. The plane careened off the runway and onto the desert. Evans sighed in relief. Then an unbelieving Evans braced himself as Bush suddenly and unexpectedly spun the plane and bounced back along the runway. Evans stared at Bush. He could see the fear and panic flooding his face. Bush pressed on. Evans had no idea why Bush wanted to go again. The plane wobbled uncertainly back into the West Texas skies, and Bush turned to Evans. "Hey," said Bush airily, as if he had just had an original, amusing idea, "let's fly around Midland."

17. I'm sure the WH staffers
and the members of the press saw their lives pass before their eyes. He could easily have killed someone. And then he laughed.

"Watching the chaos below, Bush looked out the tractor’s window and laughed, steering the massive machine into the spot where most of the press corps had been positioned.”

Please note: Callous indifference to others' pain or fear. Just like his reaction (posted downthread) when he "arily" lurched the plane back into the air as his terrified passenger sat helplessly beside him.

Psychopath. Add that to the list of indicators. Clinically speaking.

19. Wow.
Is there any better image we could possibly have of the Commander-in-Chimp as he fires up a massive tractor, hits the gas, and plows over reporters, workers, and Secret Service agents? It's as though he's almost TRYING to look insane now.

Think we could convince one of his family members to get him committed to some sort of asylum? You know, for his own PERSONAL safety...

30. actually- this is probably one of the most personable things he's done in a long time.
stark raving mad is not at all an apt description of the incident.

iraq surge? yes.
attacking iraq in the first place? yes.
having soviet-style political appointees overseeing each fed office? yes.

steering a slow-moving piece of heavy equipment in the direction of the press corps, while a guy from the factory looked on over his shoulder? no.

but i'll bet that he's the only person in the room not wearing a hardhat- no dukakis-type photo-ops for him...fuck the osha rules- he's the decider (or in this case it was probably one of his handlers that did the deciding)

35. Hmm
Remember Bush and the Gannon story?
Gannon sold himself as a "top".
Why would Bush seek to be topped?
Because he is a masochist crying out to be disciplined?
Bush got"sober" through a restrictive punishing control freak version of christianity.
Why?
Because he needs to have BOUNDARIES ENFORCED upon him FROM OUTSIDE HIMSELF.
He has no inner locus of control. He is a psychopath.
If congress fails to make him heel.
Then we will have to.
HE NEEDS TO BE BOUND so he will not cross others boundaries..
DISCIPLINED, CONTROLLED, and LED like a dog on a leash.
HE has no other way to control himself. so he MUST be controlled by others. SOMEONE has to top this asshole and put his SORRY BEGGING for PUNISHMENT ass in restraints and make him HEEL to the will of the people.. NOW. He is like a untrained dog in a human suit. If you don't like him pissing on the constitution, than chain him outside.Put him in a CAGE. Smack him, RUB HIS NOSE in his own shit and remind him he is a WEAK and MORALLY INFERIOR.Bush cannot be permitted to behave that way.
He is a bottom trying to top.And as long as he gets away with playing"decider" and "commander in Chief" we are in danger from this reckless fool abuser of power..
