Breaking on DU: Najaf Terrorists May Have Been CIA-Funded Agent Provocateurs

Why not explore all possibilities, especially if the media is doing so?

Sorry, I don't have evidence to back up this speculation (it's just as
likely as claiming they are Iranian agents, and anyone who thinks both
the CIA and Iran aren't funding various terrorist groups in Iraq in order
to go after "the ones that attacked us" is a fool.)

5. "In my father's house, there are many rooms..."
The leader of the cult claimed to be the Mahdi (messiah.) Proof that John Edwards is behind it?

4. The "Salvadoran Option". Good ol' "death squad" Negroponte was ambassador to Iraq for a REASON!
If anyone had what it takes to facilitate the rise of counter-revolutionary militants, it is Negroponte.

While your post may be tongue in cheek, it has some truthiness to it.

6. Remember how the gov't dabbled in prodding and funding nutcases in the early 70s

To disrupt the anti-war movement.

The leader of the Najaf death cult sounds like the perfect patsy for "dark forces" on either side to pay off. Nobody would believe him if he were captured alive.
