FLASHBACK: "McCain reportedly ‘furious’ with Fiorina, campaign adviser says she will ‘disappear’

McCain reportedly ‘furious’ with Fiorina, campaign adviser says she will ‘disappear’ from TV.
Sept 16, 2008

Today, McCain economic adviser Carly Fiorina bluntly stated that neither John McCain nor Sarah Palin were capable of running a major corporation (she said the same of Barack Obama and Joseph Biden). A top campaign adviser said Fiorina will be punished for her candid opinions:

“Carly will now disappear,” this source said. “Senator McCain was furious.” Asked to define “disappear,” this source said, adding that she would be off TV for a while – but remain at the Republican National Committee and keep her role as head of the party’s joint fundraising committee with the McCain campaign.

Fiorina was booked for several TV interviews over the next few days, including one on CNN. Those interviews have been canceled.

The old CNN story referred to is here:

========

How long will it take before she has to "disappear" from her own campaign? Yesterday was not a good start for her.

1. I rmember there was also

a kerfluffle about Fiorino saying something to the effect that McCain was "pro choice."

My lasting image of Fiorino was during the McCain campaign when the market was tanking and people were losing their retirements and Fiorino was on some talk show just dripping in gold jewelery. Talk about tone deaf.

5. I guess just because the stock was worth $61 when she started
and $21 when she left doesn't mean she can't run a company.

And look at the track record. She got 42 million for running that company into the ground. If she can get to the Presidency and run us all into the ground she'll be getting $100,000 a night on the lecture circuit...
