In light of everything, a question for Progressives

Okay, I have to admit I feel like a psychic. Everything that has happened in the last 6 years I and other "far leftists" i.e. left-wing Dems, communists, socialists, anarchists ect said would happen has happened. Outsourcing, war in Iraq, Bush stealing 2nd election, now as of a few minutes ago, an impending war with Iran and many other things. I am VERY active in protesting, giving money to left wing causes ect but I think that we the people will need to make a STRONG independant left wing movement within groups like United For Peace and Justice, ANSWER, Progressive Dems of America, Green Party, our unions, Workers World, CPUSA and other socialist and progressive parties and orgs ect to really change this country. Lets say a Hillary or Dodd wins in 08. So what? Will a few positive things be passed? Yes. Will the rich corporations still own our media? Yes. Will we still be in a horrible war or wars in the middle east and elsewhere? Yes. Will free trade still exist? Yes. Will 50 million americicans still be without healthcare? Probably more. The list goes on. Our system is bankrupt. Our entire government system needs to be revamped. What we have now is clearly outdated and has failed the people. My question is: am I alone in thinking that an independant "third way" of leftists be needed outside of the Dem party to save our country? I believe for the most part both parties are now serving the same masters and nothing short of a peaceful revolution will save us.

Maybe I'm dense, but I just don't see the connection.

as long as we support the mainstream media by giving it ratings, and the main parties by voting for them (with the exception of some really good people) how will anything change? Cltinon, Carter, LBJ, Kennedy ect yes did some good things, but the actual system was not changed and our country has gotten more and more reactionary. We need a new bill of rights for human rights and updated voting such as IRV voting, along with an independant press.
