Apologies for the delay on these. I only got home Sunday night to my laptop and didn't have access to a computer before then, so I'm only just getting these posted. Plus I did a lot of cropping, etc. to the pictures. DUers who marched, I'm disappointed that I missed meeting or re-meeting many of you at the meet-up point, but the Metro was crazy and I showed up a bit late. It was a great day, though. 10. Hippies smell?

Wow - that's a great argument.

I didn't see a single person in that crowd that looked like a hippie, but I did see a lot of vets, moms, and "regular" citizens.

That aside, I'd rather smell Patchouli than cow shit, which is probably the signature scent of the 5 freepers that showed up to take on this crowd of hundreds of thousands.

I guess they needed to show up and "represent" the pro-war, pro-killing, anti-life crowd, by holding up signs declaring that hippies smell. (?!?!?!!?)

Because that makes a great point for their side, you know.

With each passing day, the size of the crowd that supports Bush diminishes, and becomes more desperate, pathetic, and delusional.


Edit: Upon further review of the photo, the guy holding the "Hippies Smell" sign looks far more hippie than the vast majority of the protest crowd.

13. All right, we'll never get MSM to report it accurately if we

keep saying 'tens of thousands.' There were over 400,000 at the march! And as far as 'hippies smell,' hippies smell like LOVE!!! LOL The freeper crowd was very pathetic. Seeing the few that showed up in contrast to our hundreds of thousands gave me a good laugh and a wonderful sense that we might win this thing yet!

16. Great photos Hissy! I saw almost every sign

you took in the pics! I saw the lady in the first one and had to keep from running over to hug her. You can feel the sorrow and grief, even though she had much grace.

I missed everyone, :( again(only had 4 hours), but was glad to have my youngest sister with me. :)

I forgot my camera, of all things, so I really appreciate you sharing here! My sis had a disposable and took only 8 pictures! In 2005 I took 8 rolls.

BTW, the woman with blond hair, on the left, in the photo with Maxine Waters and Sean Penn is Medea Benjamin. She's the founder (or one of them, perhaps) of Code Pink. She's one of the ones you've likely seen over the last couple of sneaking into various Congressional hearings and making a scene. Fabulous woman.

21. That's actually a fairly handsome bunch of Freepers. And brave too

considering that they're voicing an opinion that's outnumbering them 10,000 to one on the DC streets. But they do seem like they're a little bored. Why aren't they having fun like all the "protestors" seem to be. When the protestors are the ones full of joy and the "supporters" are the ones with the dour grimaces on their faces, you have to wonder about whether we're using the right terms.

Let me suggest we use "patriots" and "losers" instead.
