Former reservist...Entire family military.

Executive Officer USS Constitution, Boston, MA (Do you like the snow and you will be out to see a great deal of time).

Force Protection Officer, CENTCOM, Manama, Bahrain (Middle East...hmmmm...really hot)

Plans Officer, SOUTHCOM, Miami, FL (Do you like the heat?)

In all seriousness, it really depends on which way you want your career path to go?

Good luck!

3. I dunno I am thinking of rolling into the inactive reserve
After this tour.

It is time to start my political career :)

I think the Constitution is my personal favorite. It would be hella fun, and mostly ceremonial, I am done with IA's I want a safe shore tour.

4. USS Constitution ... if you like sailing.
Edited on Tue Jan-30-07 11:03 PM by TahitiNut
Lots to learn. (I sailed on the USCGC Eagle.)

A whole lot of what they'd do would be keeping the ship maintained. Marlinspike seamanship would be a highly prized skill ... and it's fascinating.

450 officers and enlisted, including 55 marines and 30 boys

Constitution is one of only two presently commissioned ships of any type in the US Navy known to have sunk an enemy vessel.

Here's the current CO, CDR Thomas C. Graves (he dresses funny) ...

So do the Bos'ns mates ...

5. XO for Constitution....
As long as you have the chops in your folder to support your street cred as a naval officer, I think a final tour in the funny hat would look good-reverence for naval history and like that...a political career could have much worse photo ops...just sayin'...

6. I personally hate Miami.....
but I see you are already in FL. If you like FL why not stay there? If not, I would head for MA.
