Chris Moon, who played for the Tucson High Badgers had signed a letter of intent to play for the U of Az, but changed his mind and joined the U.S Army.
<snip>
Tragically,while serving in Afghanistan last week, Moon stepped on a roadside bomb and was critically injured. Both of his legs have been amputated.
According to his uncle, Chuck Moon, Chris is being treated in a military hospital in Germany, fighting to survive.
He is only 22 years old. If you believe in the power of prayer, Chris Moon can use yours today.

When I read this article in the Sunday paper this morning, I almost wept. We have to end this war.

2. Please, someone remind me.
We are in Afghanistan, why???? Whatever the reason,(and don't tell me we are there fighting for our freedom), the sacrifice is much too great. Looking back to VietNam and the loss of 58,000 troops and untold injuries, that should have taught us a lesson. Is America that stupid? A rhetorical question. We are that stupid and I put the blame for this squarely on the bush/cheney administration. Come on, President Obama, get us out of there NOW. I want to continue to support you, but if this war continues much longer, that will be difficult. BTW, wasn't it suppose to only last for 6 months??
