The Constitution. It protects people from such tyranny. The Constitution grants people with certain rights that the majority simply can not deny. Otherwise it would be possible for the Majority to vote back in slavery or vote to make all schools teach religion..Well we are seeing a sort of tyranny of majority with the Republican Party. The loud mouths and nut jobs are using a form of tyranny to become the majority of the Party. That is basically why Parties in the past have adopted a Platform or Plank, Basically a set of ideals written down for all Party members to follow. When a Party does not have a written set of policies and ideals then nothing is sacred. Democrats can act like Republicans and Tea Baggers can run roughshod. It would be nice if both Parties could get back to having a written Platform so we can both, hold people accountable, and know what we are dealing with. It seems very simple to me but as far as I can tell at the moment the ONLY thing Democrats stand for is winning. According to sources from the Administration Everything is negotiable. Would it be wrong to ask for a Democratic Platform to be in writing?

1. Wrong? No. Unnecessary? Yes - here it is.

You may, I guess, be disappointed at how moderate it is.
