Gallup Poll tells us what we knew already but Teabaggers deny - they are conservative Republicans
http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2010/Senate/Maps/Jul07-s.html#1

While the media have given the impression that tea party supporters are angry independents who are very unhappy with the health care bill and the Obama administration generally, a new Gallup poll shows otherwise. The poll shows that 80% of the tea partiers are conservative Republicans, 15% are Democrats, and only 6% are independents. This is not entirely surprising since the initial organization and funding for the tea party rallies came from FreedomWorks, a group run by former House majority leader Dick Armey (R). In particular, comparisons between the tea partiers now and Ross Perot's supporters in the 1990s have no validity since Perot really did draw from supporters of both parties. It is probably a given that nearly all tea partiers will vote for Republican candidates in November, but that's hardly a surprise if they are indeed nearly all Republicans

Talk about a Captain Obvious moment with that poll. Those Tea Baggers weren't fooling any of us with their "We're Independant voters" bullcrap. Put a Fox in Sheeps clothing and you still have the Fox watching Faux News and spewing off mis-aligned talking points.

1. I've been insisting this for months now.
It's like the C=Span callers who start with "I'm a life-long Democrat, BUT...."

Bullshit. You're not a life-long Democrat. You're a fucking liar is what you are. We need to call these fuckbuckets out for what and who they truly are.

8. They have to be Republicans. Anyone who has an inkling
of Democrat in their bones is frustrated with the lack of progressive action by this administration.

These "teabaggers" are the same people who wore the purple heart bandaids and chanted "drill, baby, drill." I would guess that less than one or two percent of them voted for Obama in the first place.

Where will they go when we kick their asses this fall?

12. It's amazing to me that whenever I ask any "independent" teabaggers who they voted for...
They either have voted for republicans as long as they can remember, or they avoid answering my question and say "it's irreleveant".

No Fucko, it's completely relevant. You just don't want anything pesky like facts ruining your blanket generalizations and fear-mongering narratives.

16. Some will say they haven't always voted Republican.
They say they voted for Ross Perot, which is supposed to prove they are independent free thinkers.

:wtf:

much as Faux News claims to be fair.

20. Which brings me to another point about 'baggers. If their cause is so righteous, why.....
do they have to almost constantly and pathologically lie about it? Shouldn't the merits of their cause speak for themselves?

21. Excellent point. They lie about their leanings, affiliations, numbers
funding. What do they not lie about?

I've never seen a tea klanner on camera relaxed and smiling and just recounting a story.

The conclusions are obvious, for anyone without a dog in the race.

24. Oh, you're not wrong. But the 'baggers all act like religious missionaries.
They think they're "lying for the Lord" or something. They have no problems resorting to any subterfuge or double-dealing in order to "win", as if this were a war or a football match.

27. Oh, that's not unusual
Look at some of the people on "our" team doing the same.

I still think they're all bought and paid for, and their convictions are as strong as Stalin's devotion to communist ideals, and for the same reasons.

I've run into a few of those, always defending the GOP, but not being honest enough to admit they're Republicans after Bush ruined that as a badge of honor.

in their lives.

And of course, that 15% figure also assumes those people weren't lying their asses off.

I know that there are plenty of neoliberals in the Democratic Party, unfortunately. The idea that actual TEABAGGERS, though, would be Ds is a little hard to swallow, to say the least.

30. I also believe that most, if not all of those 15% who were allegedly Democrats
Were lying through their teeth in an attempt to make it appear that the teabaggers are comprised of members who are disgruntled voters from all political ideologies.

It doesn't make sense that their so-called Tea Party did not receive any notoriety until after Obama was elected president, as they claim it began during a Ron Paul rally in '07. So they just sat on their hands for two years, before coming out of the political closet??

Sure there are conservative dems but teabaggers are pure Palin/GWB/FoxNews type weirdos

I think when they're polled they are trying to make the "diversity" LOL argument by saying yes.
