1. I'm not going to disagree with you, but an observation on my part is this,

I gets so depressing reading most of the OPs here at DU anymore. I know things have gone in the shitter but I am fighting with myself to allow myself to feel good about anything.

I don't know if we are resigned to unhappiness from now on or we are resigned to the fact that we are powerless to do anything about it.

I just wish we could have as much hope that together we can change things in our favor as we do despair.

4. Much of the goal of the hope despair cycles is to create a feeling of powerlessness and numbness.

Claim power, do not let someone say you are free or captive, you give them the power to do either by letting them say that.

You have what power you claim. Much of the power of those groups is to get people to think they have power. That is why much of that happens.


Or just listen to music and try to find humor in things while you help any that you are able to help. Thats how I try to think on it. Someone said a few years ago, what if they let you down? The answer, my confidence is not in them, but in what I can try to do or think on. Since that is what I am able to always have choice of, and what I am responsible for. If a person does what he can, and expresses what he feels and thinks, then he has done what more could be expected, sometimes it even makes a difference.


It is also to get people to not care, some think getting rid of conscious is the answer to what happens in the world.
