That Breitbart is a racist is one thing --
that he called the tune and everyone danced to it is humiliating.

1. Yep, will they learn the appropriate lesson from this debacle?
Probably not.

2. There's simply no difference between what Brietbart did and
what Brietbart accused Dan Rather of doing. With the exception being that Brietbart edited the video himself, while Rather had nothing to do with the (alleged) forged memo.

That, and the difference between a journalist and a poser.

3. Scarborough is being a complete ass on this thing. First, already they
are focusing on the firing of her. Not one mention of the fact that Breibart lied with this video, misrepresented everything about it. Yes, things should have been checked out but Scarborough trying to more or less make Breibart a hero.

He is condoning this sort of thing which is wrong in the first place.

The WH made a knee jerk reaction in that they are getting too nervous about being called racist. President Obama will be called racist by the right-wing no matter what.

Breibart should be the villain in this incident.

5. Yep, but watch Breitbart skate away as others push their
own agendas with the story.

8. I know, with the way this story is going, he already is skating away and
Edited on Wed Jul-21-10 08:21 AM by EV_Ares
the focus is on the USDA and the WH with Breibart being the hero for a deceptive video that cost a woman her job.

The problem here is that those of us who are either liberals, moderates, democrats whatever need to do more in a united way to fight the corporate media and those like Fox and Breitbart who have drummed up this race issue to this leve, even bringing back the Black Panthers. Those on the right-wing and the republicans stay united so the old saying, divided we fall, is so true for the democrats because each group fights its own battles and each other instead of in a united way fighting the other side.

4. You betcha......
From the White House to the vast brainwashed minions. And the Librul Media reported it as absolute fact, just as they did with ACORN. Land of the Fake, Home of the Spineless.

6. i don't know marmar -- the librul media can report how they want.
but everyone knew it started with breitbart -- it's not like it was a secret.

that some how through the corridors of power there were decisions made on a breitbart item is horrifying to me.

it's just ghastly.

7. The white wing media used it to get a woman of color fired...
but now they're jumping on the chance to smear Obama over this. The thing is, I don't blame President Obama. Sheeit, the guy has enough on his plate and I don't expect him to sift through and thoroughly investigate every bit of crap the entire mainstream news media reports. That is why he appoints people to oversee the various agencies (like Vilsack). President Obama could make this right, though, or at least "suggest" to Vilsack that HE make this right. I really think Vilsack needs to be the one to reinstate her. That way people like Beck and Scarborough get the red meat yanked from their drooling lips before they get a chance to rip it to pieces.

9. You are saying the same thing I am in this thread. The focus needs
to be on Breitbart who made a lying, deceptive video that cost a woman her job. The WH with all of the major legislation it has got passed and had to fight for and now in the process of getting unemployment benefits extended simply left this to the head of the USDA to handle as he should.

Also, as fast as this tory was moving and with Fox, Beck and even the MSM, if Obama had even said anything he would have been vilified and Fox and the others would have done their thing. A no-win for him.

There should be consequences for Breitbart who had done this same thing with Acorn.

10. What makes it worse is this isn't the first time Breitbart has revealed his racism publicly
He'll be back on Faux news in no time. If anything, he will be more popular than ever there.
