"Y", "W"? Consonant or vowel, make up your mind. We're at war!
Could Colbert be any funnier? (Sorry, just watching last night's show where he named the vowels and when he got to "sometimes "Y" and "W" he said the subject line for this post.)

3. Yes, in Welsh
W is sometimes pronounced as a U or an O (in between those two, really). Sometimes it's pronounced as an F or a V. As is true in most Welsh pronunciation, depends on what comes before, or after it.
