RED ALERT!! Fundies in mass melt down, end is near, satan is on the move
Edited on Wed Jan-31-07 12:01 AM by The Straight Story
Yep - you have all probably seen it today:
http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/showbiz/article-23383624-details/What+will+Hermione+say%2C+Harry/article.do

Harry Potter gets nude with a horse. Not ONLY have books about him poisoned the minds with their satanic witchery, now the star of the movies is taking zoology to a whole new height.

Proof of what they all knew all along.

The Jesus is coming back warning clock has moved 20 minutes ahead. Are those the hoof beats of the four horsemen I hear? Nope they are the horse in the play!!

Ahhh fundies. I am a christian myself, been the fundie route too. Scary....

And I saw a rider on a pale horse...and he was nude!

3. After the 1999 bust they went with plan B
2007 - 7 years after the end of the century. Mystical number and all. 7 year tribulations, and so on.

5. There was an actress named Jenny Agutter who appeared
in the 1971 movie "Walkabout" and "Logan's Run." I wonder if it is her daughter Playing Jill

24. No, it says Jenny Agutter played Jill in the 1977 film version
and plays a judge in this stage production; her bio says she just has one son, while Joanna Christie's doesn't mention any relations (and IMDB is good at noting actors that are related).

6. Heh, the most recent episode of "Extras"
had him as the guest star, he was trying to prove what an adult he was -- it was pretty funny.

This is pretty bold for him, though - a nude scene in a film is one thing, but in a live play? That's a horse of a different color! (I wonder how much self-control such a young lad has to be doing such scenes *live* ... ahem...)

9. Pretty smart move for his acting career
after 6 or 7 Harry Potter movies, he's in serious danger of being typecast and becoming one of those has-been child actors. And we all know what happens to them.

I couldn't act to save my life. He seems to have a well rounded ability, and is only 17. Kudos to him.

Gary Coleman was exploited labor. Was probably making $5k per episode, as opposed to (now I see below) $20 mil per movie. Anyway, hell with it...

16. I hear he is an aspiring bassist, and the 20mil+ per film can't hurt
I bet he goes to University and maintains a career in indie films and stage, and he'll turn up in some London Pubs playing bass in a band.

19. That's what I've heard Daniel Radcliffe intends to do.
My older son goes to school with Matthew Lewis, the kid who plays Neville Longbottom in the Potter films, and they socialize in the same group of friends. Matthew's a perfectly normal teenager when he's not filming, and according to him so are the other Harry Potter actors, including Radcliffe himself. Apparently they're all planning to go on to university before continuing their careers. From what I've gathered, they're all pretty well-balanced individuals. Ditto the kids in the Narnia film (the girl who played the youngest one lives locally and goes to school with my next-door neighbour's daughter, and she too leads a normal, non-starry existence - maybe it's due to the non-Hollywood environment all these young people live in that keeps them grounded).

Seriously, if you don't approve, don't buy tickets. Why must everything be such a big deal for these nut jobs? It's the naked body. Big deal.

he doesn't look nearly as skinny in that pic than in the one in the OP. Must've been different photoshoots.

Anyway, he's turning into quite a handsome young man.

18. "Scroll down for more"

Maybe it's just a coincidence of screen size/resolution on my laptop, but that line was perfectly placed, cos the page loads with the bottom of the picture below the browser window. So heck, maybe they're all just pissed off because that sentence was only a teaser after all!

25. Perfect and apt.
Because Equus is somewhat about what happens when you get into f-ed up religious obsessions (Alan Strang and the horse-god, Equus). If the fundies knew what this play was actually about, they'd be freaking WAY more than about nekkid Harry Potter.

Wish I could afford to hop across the pond. It's a great play, when done properly.

26. Long hair trail for a 17 year old/Equs is a good play for him to be in
I know there was a movie with Richard Burton and Peter Firth. It was very good and very freudian. I had to read the play in college. I'll never forget my professor's comments about the role of Jill-"I hope my daughter never comes home and tells me 'Dad, I'm playing Jill in Equus!'".

One of the main themes in the play is that the socialist-leaning dad with the higher-class obsessed mother messed the kid up.

29. Well, from what I can see, he's got nothing to be ashamed of.
I've only seen him in the HP movies, and David Copperfield, but he seems like a capable actor. With this role, he also seems like a brave one. And a good-looking one.

30. The actress with whom he's doing a nude scene is 24
As a 16 year old, I got to kiss a 20 year old woman on stage. I can't imagine a nude scene! I gotta respect him. At 17, the prospect of a nude scene would have been terrifying. The prospect of a nude scene with a very attractive 24 year old would have been so simultaneously terrifying and exciting that I have no idea how my physiology would have reacted!
