I have seen burr haircuts for convenience only so why would some construe them as racist? Or does speech equal racism too? BUT I do agree that actions in the end mean something. Many have used the N word or K word or G word but that doesn't mean they are racist. It just means they have lost control in a moment of anger. We all have.

Racism is about a pattern of actions that illustrate that one excludes, promotes, hires, or benefits those of special interest instead of society at large.

When one kills Jews in a concentration camp or you hang blacks or you discriminate based upon tribalism it does mean something. But talk means nothing and it is getting weary seeing the media hang their hats on a few words such as Helen Thomas's instead of her lifelong actions with subordinates.
