1. Maude Barlow says it best:

"There are those who intend that one day everything will be owned by somebody and we're not just talking goods here. We're talking human rights, human services, essential services for life. Education, public health, social assistance, pensions, housing. We're also talking about the survival of the planet. The areas that we believe must be maintained in the commons or under common control or we will collectively die."

2. Corporate OWNED water and food are precursors to OWNED air...
The fight over available fresh water on this planet will make the competition for oil look like a minor dustup.

We already see Corporations patenting Genetically Modified seeds, and controlling who can plant what and where.

Air has to be next on the list. Wherever there is a shortage of a necessity there will always be a Corporation ready to make a buck off it.

4. In my opinion
In my opinion, there are little more than two election cycles left where we the people will have a fighting chance to do something about it! The Supreme Tipping Point is the obscene Citizen's United SC decision of just last January.

IF this isn't headed towards FASCISM, then please tell me what it is.

5. As Predicted by Robert Ingersoll in 1886!
http://www.infidels.org/library/historical/robert_ingersoll/lay_sermon.html

Don't you know that if people could bottle the air, they would? Don't you know that there would be an American Air-bottling Association? And don't you know that they would allow thousands and millions to die for want of breath, if they could not pay for air? I am not blaming anybody. I am just telling how it is.

15. I thought the same thing when I saw how airlines charged zillions of fees.
One day they will charge you to be in the pressurized air section of the plane. And if there was a sudden loss of pressure in the other section people would have to pay to release the oxygen masks before they fell from overhead. Maybe even seats will be an option.

I know I shouldn't have mentioned the above idea because if an airline saw them they would start doing what I wrote.
