Poll question: How would you DUers poll against Sharron Angle in the Nevada race?

Assume you had the huge amount of money Reid has, but YOU were the democratic candidate running against the wacky Sharron Angle in the Nevada senatorial race. How would you be polling against a religious & political fanatic like her?

How much do you think you would be ahead or behind her? I'm asking this question because I don't think I've ever seen such an inept senate campaign as Reid is running. With all of the blunders, gaffes and attacks against the people of her own state how could Sharron Angle be even close to Harry Reid? Every time I listen to Reid I wonder how he has been able to win any elections. He's boring, timid and has no signs he has any leadership abilities.

Bottom line: Do you believe you could do better than the inept Harry?

I know my OP is rough on Harry but he had been the leader of the senate which has constantly compromised with republicans without getting a single vote from the enemy. We have ended up with one watered down bill after another. Reid doesn't even force the enemy to filibuster. All they had to do is mention the word filibuster and Reid goes running to the nearest closet to hide. He never takes command or leads the senate. And when he speaks it is void of passion, principle or guts. It's amazing how he has been able to win any elections at all, and I find it inexcusable how the democrats in the senate elected him as their leader. Do they actually consider Reid as the best democratic senator?

3. Reid does seem to be timid and boring, and maybe lacking true leadership

but compared to Angle, well, there is no comparison. She's a wacko, but I can't call this. People are quite weird, voters seem to sway instead of think. I still think Harry will prevail.

7. I agree with you, but I don't think this election should even be close.

Reid should be leading her by twenty points or more over Sharron Angle. Out of those who voted in this poll, 10 of the 13 people thought they would do better than Sharron Angle. I believe those ten are right. If I had all of the money Reid has I could be leading Angle by a huge margin.

I believe Reid will win, but it shouldn't even be close given that his opponent is both a religious and a political fanatic who has made many comments, any of which would doom any other candidate, but she continues to remain ahead or close to Reid in the polls.

My hope is when the new senate is sworn in during Jan 2011 they replace Reid with a real leader, someone who doesn't compromise and give in to the enemy. It's hard to imagine that Reid was a boxer. It seems as if I stepped into a ring with him he would immediately go cower in a corner terrified and shaking. That's his reaction to republican threats to filibuster. He doesn't even force them to actually filibuster. He runs from republicans as fast as Angle runs from media microphones.

And I seriously doubt whether Reid will hold the senate in session to help the unemployed 99ers, although that would not only help the entire democratic party, it would help him in a state where unemployment is over 14 percent. It's amazing Reid hasn't already publicly stated he will keep the senate in session through the entire August recess until they pass the unemployment bill. But doing such a thing would be a sign of 'leadership', something Reid seems to have very few skills in.

The political bar in Nevada must be extremely low to have such low quality candidates like Reid and Angle as the leaders of their parties in their state. Maybe all that radiation from all the nuclear weapons storage sites in Nevada has destroyed the brains of everyone in the state. Someone needs to check the water supply in Nevada...

5. In my first debate with her

I would tell her to "go piss up a rope" and then I would drop 25% in the polls. I would make Alvin Greene look like a great candidate.

If you told her 'go piss up a rope' you'd be talking tea party lingo and your polls might rise. I don't think Geene can string that many words together so you'd be infinitely better than Alvin Greene...
