The mushy "independents" are going all weak-kneed regarding our President and his progress, and are grumbling that their "hopey-changey" isn't happening fast enough to undo eight years of economic and constitutional destruction either caused or allowed to happen because of the previous occupant and his evil overlord veep.

I think that we need a few additional years of Republican dominion in order for these stupid folks to truly appreciate how bad "bad" can get. Obviously, they've forgotten already.

I think that they learned their lesson with Clinton. A new GOP conntrolled Congress would be out to embarrass Obama in every way that they can, but would not bring up the "I" word. Republicons seem to have Sith-like powers over the weak-minded so called "independents" (most of whom are likely disaffected Republicans) and if and when they vote Democratic, it seems like they are only willing to give a Democratic POTUS (ANY Democratic POTUS) a year (or less) to try to turn things around- all while facing a solid block of Republicon obstructionism

However, I am of the opinion that we MUST keep fighting them tooth and nail and reminding people why exactly this country is in the mess that it is in and who got us here. We can ill-afford any more "Republican dominion" and we certainly cannot simply allow it to occur.

I will stipulate that we will lose some seats in November. However, I refuse to believe- until all of the returns actually come in- that the Republicans will control either the House or the US Senate starting in January 2011.
