Appeal Of The 14th Amendment ...

Oh please, let the Republicant Party use the issue of repealing the 14th Amendment. Please, please, please.

"AMENDMENT XIV (Passed by Congress June 13, 1866. Ratified July 9, 1868.)

Section 1.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."


USA is heading for elections in November. Can it really be true that the Democratic Party is going to lose to the yahoos of the Republicant Party? I concede I am very disappointed in the Democratic Party but not to the point of allowing the Republicant Party back into power.

Am I alone in dis-belief? Is it possible the majority of voters will be willing to vote against their own personal self interests by voting for the Republicant Party? Really?

1. The republicans are saying it is the Democrats who are pandering.
That they are the ones who are trying to bring the issue of the 14th amendment to light. AND GET THIS. They said they are trying to get a lawsuit before the Supreme Court to clarify the meaning of the 14th Amendment. That it does not mean anybody born on US soil should be a citizen only children of people who are American citizens.

So now we know what they want. They know the Supreme Court is packed with right wing extremist and that is the best way to get the law changed because they know full well it would never be voted into a change of the constitution.

2. Use Missouri as an answer to your question
Democrats there just stayed home. I guess they felt there was nothing worth voting for. Democrats turn out in droves to vote for Change and then find out they were all played for chumps...
