First Mayor Bloomberg stood up before God (Allah?) and everyone this morning and chastised those who were trying to prevent a mosque from being built in lower Manhattan and who were trying to gin up hate because it happened to be two blocks from the old WTC site. He correctly pointed out that we have a First Amendment in this country and shamed those who wanted the city to ban this mosque.
Then the Federal judge (Vaughn Walker?) ruled against prop 8 in such clear language with a huge number of findings of fact against the prop 8 folks so that they are doomed to lose in the Supreme Court - it was a Loving v. Virginia moment.

1. yep. I was delightfully surprised to hear there are so many pages supporting Walker's ruling - that |
|
is important if/when this goes to the SCOTUS.
