2. I know! This story is ridiculous! |

They itemized the cost of the trip on CBS news last night. Do they want her to stay at a Motel 6? Do they want members of our First Family traveling to foreign countries without secret service? Maybe fly coach with tickets they searched for on Travelocity?

3. there is an insignificant cost to the taxpayer |
|
She wasn't elected, but must have secret service protection and has a other "support" people travel with her at government's expense.
It is an insignificant cost, but unfortunately image is very important in elections. I question the decision to take the trip so close to the election and during a bad economy. It gives the media an opportunity to paint an "out of touch" image of the Obama's and then try to associate that image with other Democrats. The media did this with the other vacations and the bogus "special plane for the dog" story so you had to know it was coming here.
I hope she's having a great time and the fuss doesn't take away from the vacation.
