Wyclef Jean formally announced that he's running for president of Haiti tonight on an episode of Larry King Live that was—for some soon-to-be regretted reason—hosted by buffoon Wolf Blitzer.
Here are the most mishap-filled moments from the hour.
The ~ZOMG EXCLUSIVE HOURLONG (EXCEPT NOT) ANNOUNCEMENT INTERVIEW~ began with Blitzer asking Jean whether or not he'd formally filed papers to run for the Haitian presidency. Unfortunately for all, Jean "
hear nothin' yet."
After a few minutes of, nerd work in order to fix Jean's satellite feed, Blitzer was back and ready to ask him the though questions related to things that he'd been watching very closely. Blitzer asked Jean whether or not he was formally running for office; unfortunately, the Lauryn Hill-made "artist" wouldn't answer A DAMN THANG until Blitzer agreed to say some random phrase in Creole (he refused).
A little bit later, Blitzer decided to ask Jean about his scandal-ridden Yele Haiti charity, which he resigned from this morning. Spoiler: another technical glitch!
And finally, the moment we all were waiting for (or, I suppose, that Jean was waiting for): Blitzer attempts to speak in Creole—satellite delay, reluctance, apprehension and all. Awk-waaaard.
If you're interested in seeing Jean's actual/full announcement, then you can watch it over at Mediaite by clicking here (fast forward to one minute into the video for the relevant portion).
Honestly, though, aren't a few clips of satellite errors and Creole refusals way more entertaining?

Laura Ingraham Wants Your Kids to Be Obese
It's not hard to make Laura Ingraham look stupid—Stephen Colbert did it just two nights ago!—but who would have thought that Bill O'Reilly would make Ingraham look stupid? Inside, video of their heated Factor discussion about school nutrition.
