"...GWB was not perfect but at least he was a grown up and a man. How I miss leadership..."
Freepers long for the good old days of George W. Bush in the White House.

:eyes:

From their thread "A Month In The Life Of George W. Bush (Memories, News and Photos from July 2005)."

I miss them so much. Such class.

W didn’t try to run everyones lives.

He thought the people should have say about everything.

W may very well be the last honorable Christian president we ever have.

America has been sold out. God Bless America.

God Bless all our soldiers who have fought to keep us free.

Oh,I miss them so much too! I always felt SAFE when they were in the White House. Now, with “what’s his name” in there, it feels as if we’ve been taken over by a Foreign leader who hates us and it’s a scary feeling. Like being on a ship that’s lost at sea or something?

I cannot look at these pictures without getting a lump in my throat. God had put the right man in the right job at the right time. It truly was a miracle. And a last chance for America to wake up and make things right. Fast forward to today. Our decisions were wrong. Made in haste. And with selfish intentions and no thought of ramifications. We could not afford to be wrong. And yet we were. Is it too late this time? I pray to God that it isn't. But He will not always be patient and long suffering.

Thanks.

Refreshing.

I do hope he lets us know when he retires to his big Argentina spread. Could be some kind of signal that he’s lost faith in OThuga’s capacity to hold anything together any longer.

Thank you again for your welcome reminders. I have multiple vivid and in-color dreams every night. I dreamt last night that George and Jenna were my co-workers at some sort of car rental agency. I woke up with the biggest smile on my face. It has lasted all day.

19. not perfect? I'm surprised anyone on that site would say this about Dubya
I mean, just look at this man:

Could there be a better example of human perfection? I think not. And it's terrible that not even halfway through his term, Obama has already allowed the World Trade Center to be destroyed, wrecked the economy (and after Bush had done so much to ensure that all Americans could put food on their family!), and gotten us into these awful, intractable wars. Just terrible! But that's socialism for you...

20. The thing is,
these people are far more numerous than we might think. They are all around us and they often seem as generous, thoughtful and normal as those of us here at DU. But when they're confronted with politics, with the big questions, their fear binds them together in a way that makes them nostalgic for Bush. How sad is that?

25. The saddest thing about freepers
is that their delusions cross all educational/intellectual/occupational bounds. I've met freepers that are college graduates in engineering, college drop-outs, retired science researchers, auto parts store managers, and so on. People I thought that could follow the scientific method of experimentation and logical thinking are still freepers.

There must be something about freeperishness, 'cause there are so many.

38. I'm in Cleveland, and have recently starting listening to WNIR...
...it's an Akron station, and former Browns player Bob Golic has a sports show. I started listening because of the LeBron James situation last month, but have become fascinated at the flying stupidity over the airwaves whenever he discusses politics, which is now every day. Golic is a flaming freeper with an IQ about equal to his jersey number (which I don't remember). His knowledge of what actually goes on in the political world can barely fill his jock strap. His callers are even dumber. It becomes addictive after awhile, and more than a little shocking to hear the mindlessness that passes as a "a discussion of issues." I just shake my head.

I'm so tired of these stupid assholes.
Their guy, Captain Cuckoo Bananas, got to be president they way he got everything else in life. Daddy and his rich friends pulled some strings and installed him as president despite him actually LOSING the fucking election but when Obama actually WINS the election with a healthy fucking MAJORITY (you know, with out having to CHEAT.) this mouth breathing, troglodyte, scumbag "jakerobins" has the GALL to call a duly elected REAL president a "usurper"

What color is the SKY in this douchebags world? How does he even get through life being so ignorant and self delusional?

28. Junior, a "grown up"? A "leader?" That's a stitch!
Junior dismissed everything he did before age 40 as part of his youth. An original thought has yet to enter his teeny-tiny brain. He was nothing more than a media creation, something he admitted himself.

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on. ~ Junior, March 31, 2001.

Junior found the freepers, a flock that he fooled all of the time.

30. Who are they trying to convince?
They couldn't wait for Obama to be sworn in. After the 2008 election, when the banks were going broke and we were losing 750,000 jobs a month, they were all screaming for Obama to do something even before his inauguration.

These people have been lying so long that they're unable to tell truth and reality from the fictional world they wish they lived in. They pretend they don't remember how bad Bush/Cheney were. I guarantee each and everyone of these idiots is glad Bush is gone.

We're dealing with mass insanity here folks. They live in their support groups, constantly reinforcing each other's delusional version of past and current events.
