I never start political conversations with new clients but the repukes are just bursting with enthusiasm these days. They just HAVE to crow about what a lousy job Obama is doing and how disappointed they are because they "believed" in him when he was elected.
His big argument (and every other foxnews watcher's) is that he banks aren't lending to small business. Who can argue with that? Obama isn't fixing the problem. He should be incentivizing the banks to loan to small business.
When I asked him if there was any other incentive other than money (in the form of either tax reductions or securitizing debt) that would make a bank loan money to anyone, he agreed that those were the way to fix things. When I asked him why he couldn't just say that he wanted the President to basically give our tax dollars to the banks in the hope that it trickle down to small business, he changed the subject to dogs.
Why are republicans so happy to give money away when we are already in debt?

1. For Republicans, the purpose of government is to make business profitable. |

They could care less about people, the environment, community or anything else. Just make sure money goes in their pockets and everything is OK.
