It may well be a case of "Be Careful what you wish for" for the GOPigs

they may scream "we need to save our country", but then, when they really become the party of HELL NO, they got no one else to blame.

Two years of nothing happening, useless hearings and investigations, becoming more and more irrational, Presidential Veto after Veto with I'm sure Obama taking much, much time to tell people exactly WHY, and as much or more time telling what they're blocking..

By 2012, the GOP could well be the modern Know-Nothing party, with the majority of the country finally and completely disgusted with them.

2. That could well be what would happen

Unfortunately, regardless of how the midterms shake out, the next two years will likely be EXTREMELY unproductive legislatively. I don't see the GOP taking control of Congress but there will likely be more of them- enough of them to ensure that they will continue to obstruct any kind of meaningful progress on everything but the most mundane and non-controversial stuff with extreme prejudice.
