1. Had a really cool dolphin encounter last week at Clearwater Beach

Dolphin cleared the water not more than 10 feet from us.

It was wild.

Truly amazing creatures.

4. I go sailing every Friday in Tampa bay and usually see dolphin pods ...I love em.

I've had them clear the water right next to my boat. I had one big guy turn on his side and stare right at me.

19. Any day you see dolphins is a good day.

I was down at Fort DeSoto a while back, with some friends down on vacation from up north. At the end of the pier, by the fort, there was a huge (probably 20) pod of dolphins chasing dinner around for hours under the dock. There were 5-6 juveniles just off to the side, who were playing, jumping, and just having a ball.

That made my friends vacation.

21. Love the beach at Ft De Soto

And it always tops our trip when we see Dolphin in the wild. We are also fascinated by Alligators in the wild as well, knowing enough to keep our distance there.

A couple of years ago we did snorkeling with the manatee at Crystal River, that was wild.

5. It's odd to hear the people still referring to them as "animals".

I hope the "non-human persons" label becomes a reality soon. Or maybe just "water persons" or "dolphin people".

They are probably manipulating the rings with sound waves. (they can stun fish with their sonar).

12. Dolphins are very smart. One, Nellie (born in Marineland of Florida going on

fifty-eight years ago) once saved my husband from a rattle snake.

He was walking the narrow path around her tank when she put her head up over the wall and begain yakking and scolding him. With every footstep, Nellie began getting more and more frantic. So he stopped. A trainer came from the other side of the path to find out what was disturbing Nellie so much and found a huge rattle snake curled up on the other side of the tank....

(I didn't get back there much, but when I did go round her tank, she always sprayed me with mouthfuls of water. I never left there dry.)

9. It did, and responding to your username certainly is appropriate!

We believe Dad sent the dolphins so we wouldn't be sad.

He spent 50 years of his life in or under the water and we took him home to the reef he loved.

10. Thank you.I actually saw a dolphin do this about 20 years ago. I was at Marine World in

Vallejo CA and went to the back of their pool. I, with two
friends, watched them at eye level through the glass wall. 
After watching the few dolphins, one of them started blowing
these "bubble rings" and would then proceed to jump
through them. The few of us there were absolutely mesmerized.
And because the sun poured down on the pool, the rings
appeared to look like rainbows. It was a magnificent event and
I am still humbled and grateful that this beautiful being
shared this with us. Thank you for finding this video, it
really brought back great memories.
